SEXUAL HEALTH
GROUP PLC
(“Sexual Health Group” or “the
Company”)
SEXUAL HEALTH GROUP SUPPLIES SUTHERLAND LUBRICATING
JELLY TO bpas
The Board of Sexual Health Group, a national
supplier of sexual health products to customers
including the NHS, is pleased to announce
it has finalised an exclusive supply agreement
for its Sutherland Lubricating Jelly with
bpas. bpas is Britain’s largest abortion
provider, caring for almost 50,000 women
per year in the UK.
bpas has a national network of 40 consultation
centres and clinics providing sexual health
services, including abortion services, pregnancy
testing, emergency contraception, sterilisation
and vasectomy procedures, as well as care,
advice and counselling. bpas collaborates closely
with the NHS and provides reproductive health
care services, free of cost to the user, on
behalf of the NHS where local arrangements
allow, in addition to private services. bpas
also promotes and encourages research and the
advancement of science and understanding, in
matters concerning the regulation of fertility.
Sexual Health Group will be supplying all bpas
clinics with its Sutherland Lubricating Jelly,
a sterile lubricant, for use in internal examinations.
The agreement is a result of a long standing
relationship between bpas and the Sexual Health
Group and both companies are pleased to be
able to benefit from this new development.
The addition of bpas broadens Sexual Health
Group’s customer base, and creates an
opportunity for the Company to supply other
sexual health related products to bpas at a
later date.
Alan Nicholls, Director of Business Development
for bpas, said: “Using Sutherland
Lubricating Jelly represents a positive commercial
decision
for bpas. Importantly this new partnership
represents a significant development, and bpas
looks forward to the possibility of working
with Sexual Health Group on other projects.”
Commenting today, Sexual Health Group Chief
Executive, George Sutherland, said: “We’re
delighted bpas has chosen Sexual Health Group
to supply the sterile lubricating jelly for
use in its clinics UK wide. This is a significant
step for the distribution of our Sutherland
Lubricating Jelly and extends its use to private
client services as well as increases its use
within NHS funded services. We look forward
to working together with bpas and will use
their expertise to provide other sexual health
related products in the future.”

Notes to Editors:
The Company's business was founded in 2000,
and is a national supplier of sexual health
products. The Company initially created the
Condomania brand as a supplier of condoms
to major professional customers such as the
NHS and is actively engaged in the production
of complementary products, including sterile
lubricant, for the sexual health market.
The Condomania brand has already achieved
a share of approximately 9% of the NHS Condom
market which equates to 2.25% of the total
UK market. Condomania has shown substantial
growth in sales and distribution. At 11 products,
it has one of the widest ranges of condoms
available via the NHS in the UK. The Company's
strategy is to bring a pipeline of new products
in sexual health to the UK market.
The Company successfully won a contract to
supply NHS Logistics England with its sterile
Sutherland Lubricating Jelly in 2005.
Sexual Health Group has been focusing on the
development of its relationship with the NHS,
and has developed its profile through this
relationship. This will remain as a major part
of its strategy for growth.

About bpas:
bpas was established as a registered charity
in 1968 to provide a safe, legal abortion service.
When bpas was formed, shortly after abortion
was legalised in Britain, the NHS was unable
to provide abortion care for all who needed
it. As the level of NHS funding for abortion
has increased in recent years, bpas has been
increasingly commissioned to provide services
on behalf of the NHS. bpas is currently involved
in abortion care in most primary care organisations
in the UK and is responsible for 50% of NHS-funded
abortions undertaken by specialist agencies.
In addition to this, bpas continues to provide
services for women who choose to pay for private
treatment.
bpas is licensed by the Department of Health
and inspected by the Health Care Commission.
